Working with a university instead of a hotel gives us the wonderful opportunity to be together for the whole weekend.  It also helps us reduce program costs as Boston hotels are some of the most expensive in the country.  Please understand that working with a university means we must follow their deadlines which means early registrations and greatly reduced ability to handle last minute changes.

Final Registration Deadline

May 27

Cancelation Policy

Cancel before May 27 - full refund except $50 per household
Cancel on or after May 27 - no refund
You may wish to consider trip cancellation insurance.

Dates

Main program - Saturday, June 29-Sunday, June 30
We suggest Friday, June 28 and Monday, July 1 as travel days for folks coming from out of town

Location

We will gather at Emerson University overlooking the Boston Common, probably the city's most beautiful and famous green space.  From here, we are within easy access on foot or by public transportation of many of the most famous areas in Boston such as Newbury Street, Beacon Hill, Chinatown, and Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall.

Emerson University is accessible from Boston Logan Airport by taxi, Uber/Lyft, or public transportation.

Accomodations

We will stay together three nights in a historical building - Emerson Colonial Residence Hall at 100 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116 - that is now a student dormitory.  Locals will have the opportunity to stay with us for all three nights, one night only, or as commuters.

Please note accommodations are student dormitories which are made up of rooms with one or two beds in them.  Rooms are in suites that include 2-3 bedrooms and a bathroom.  All beds are singles.  Sheets, blankets, towels, etc. are provided and breakfast is included.  Soaps, shampoos, etc. are not provided.

Emerson's general policy is that adults will get their own room and children will share a room.  If you register as a couple, we will put you together in a room with two beds unless otherwise requested. Unlike in a hotel, there is no possibility of adding a cot or otherwise having three people share one room.  If you have special requests about rooms, we will try to accommodate them, but we cannot guarantee it.
