Open Your Heart and Home: Hosting a LEX Visitor

Welcoming a visitor from another country into your home can be a wonderful experience for the entire family. LEX offers the opportunity to host not only students, but also adults, couples and families with small children. Stays in your home can range from 1-2 weeks to a month, or even a year! Host families vary greatly in size, background, occupation, and interests. Volunteer to Host

I think learning about another culture is amazing and everyone should try it.  In the end, you learn we are all alike. 

It has been a great lesson in "demystifying" visitors from a foreign land.  I think our whole family is more open to new things as a result.

Our daughter's curiosity about other cultures grew with enormous intensity after hosting a Japanese visitor.

It was interesting seeing ourselves through the eyes of another culture.
