LEX America and the LEX Institute in Japan also exchange with Australia, Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, India, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Micronesia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, San Marino, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
LEX members can travel to any of these countries. Please inquire for more information.
Programs
Hosting:
Welcoming a visitor from another country into your home can be a wonderful
experience for the entire family. LEX offers the opportunity to host not
only students, but also adults, couples and families with small children.
Stays in your home can range from one to two weeks, to a month, to hosting
a yearlong student (for 4-H families)! Host families vary greatly in size,
background, occupation and interests. What makes a good host family is
a willingness to share your lives with a new family member and a taste
for the adventure of mutual discovery.
Our visitor's presence was magical! All of us - aunts, uncles, and assorted cousins - had such an exciting "new" dimension added to our lives. We learned numerous words, devoured her dinners cooked so lovingly, and absorbed a new culture through her conversations with us.

Family Exchange:
Why should only kids have fun all the time? Most traditional homestay programs are designed for students, but at LEX we believe that a homestay experience can be a great adventure for anyone! We invite LEX Language Project adults and families to go on homestays to Japan, Mexico, and beyond.
