Website and Video Intern
We are currently seeking an intern with experience
in simple website programming and video editing. We are redesigning
our site and are also preparing video materials for youtube. Benefits
include great experience in these areas and attendance at our multilingual
clubs. The position is 15-20 hours a week, September - December 2013,

Volunteers for Graphic Design and Social Media
We are currently seeking volunteers who are experienced
in graphic design and/or social media. We produce flyers and other paper-based
promotional materials and would welcome volunteers who are skilled in
graphic design and familiar with Publisher and InDesign. Social media
is an area that we could utilize more, and we would like volunteers
who can help us to maximize these important outreach methods. Tasks
might include preparing video clips for youtube and our website, and/or
doing research for facebook and twitter posts. For more information,

Linguistic Research Volunteers
We will soon be developing a new section of our
website that presents links to research articles and popular articles
relevant to our mission and activities. We need volunteers to find articles
and/or to write a summary of recent research that will be accessible
to our website readers. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone
interested in linguistics and/or education. Work can be done from home

Outreach and Clerical Volunteers
We are currently seeking volunteers for a variety
of outreach and office tasks. Volunteers in this position should be
flexible and open to helping out with many different duties. We are
also willing to work with volunteers to develop a set of duties that
are rewarding and comfortable. Tasks might include outreach to various
communities (geographical or language/ethnic communities) via email
or personal contact, preparing and posting flyers, xeroxing, data entry,
and participating in planning sessions. Our staff members and volunteers
often work together as a group, and we enjoy lively conversation. This
is an excellent opportunity for anyone who would like to improve their

Volunteer Benefits and Responsibilities
As a benefit of helping us for 3-4 hours per
week, volunteers and their families may participate in our language
learning clubs free of charge. In general, applicants should be local
and be able to commit for three months or more. Schedule is negotiable,
based on staff and volunteer needs, and some types of work may be done
from home. Our North Cambridge office is easily accessible by public
transportation and by car.
We are looking for a reliable individual
to post our flyers monthly in Arlington, Cambridge, and Somerville.
Payment is determined per poster, and the exact hours are very flexible.
