Our last lecture in the Arlington Lecture Series held on Feb. 26th was a tremendous success! Previous Lectures:

The January 2010 lecture was given by Dr. Suzanne Flynn, MIT Professor of Linguistics & Language Acquisition and a member of the LEX America Board of Directors. This was the inaugural event of the series; the topic was "Raising Multilingual Children."

The March 2010 lecture was given by Dr. Barbara Pearson, linguistics researcher at UMass-Amherst and author of the book Raising a Bilingual Child. The topic of her lecture was "Nature AND Nurture: What parents can (and can't) do to help their children learn one, two, or more languages."

The May 2010 lecture was given by Dr. Maria Polinsky, Harvard Professor of Linguistics and Director of the Polinsky Language Lab. The topic was "Bilingualism and Heritage Language Speakers."

The October 2010 lecture was given by Dr. Marķa Luisa Parra, Harvard Professor of Romance Languages & Literatures. The topic was "The Role of Parents and Teachers in Raising Multilingual Children."
